FJC Fibre Optic Splice Tray
The Abtech FJC Fibre Optic Splice Tray is a compact, Ex-certified solution designed to manage fibre optic splicing in both hazardous and industrial environments. It offers safe, structured storage for up to 24 heat-shrink splices and supports fibre sizes up to 900 µm. The tray is constructed from durable ABS material and operates reliably in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to +60°C.
For hazardous area applications, the FJC tray is certified to multiple Ex op protection concepts, including Ex op is, Ex op pr, and Ex op sh, depending on optical power levels and system requirements. For Ex op pr applications, the splice tray must be fitted with a stainless steel mounting frame, complete with an acrylic cover and optional cable trunking to provide the necessary mechanical protection. This additional protection can also be used for other applications.
Designed with flexibility in mind, the tray accepts cable entries from all four sides and can be stacked up to eight trays high within suitable enclosures. This ensures streamlined installation while maintaining integrity and protection of the fibre infrastructure.
